I had a terrible experience in the parking garage today. Long story short, I visit my client here twice a month for 3 hours. I pay $15 to park each time. Today the machine would not read my credit card. After 5 payment attempts, pushing the help button twice with no answer, and 25 minutes wasted; a kind lady in the office tracks down Louis the parking attendant for me.I explained the situation to him, to which he responds “your card is not my problem, use another card.”I said I didn’t have another card; I repeatedly offered to pay cash. He refused to accept and basically called me a scammer, told me to go back to the machine to pay. “Yeah, yeah it’s the same people all the time that don’t want to pay, I remember” I’ve never seen this man before in my life, nor have I ever left this parking garage without paying. I felt trapped, I started to panic. He finally opened the gate after I said I would call the police.I’m aware that there will be people who try to get out of paying, However, there is going to be issues with the card reader. Treating people like criminals when there is a legitimate problem is ridiculous. I was not trying to skip the bill, I was more than willing to pay cash.P.S My card worked just fine at my next stop.I will NEVER enter this parking garage again.

We're the first tenants to sign a lease at ONE Richmond (mid-Apr. 2020) and we can't wait to move into such a wonderful and unique tower with incredible balconies, high end finishings with utilities included! The whole look and styling gives a Toronto vibe (which we love). Although, many units will be ready this November 2020, the unit we chose won't be ready until early 2021 (which is fine for us as it gives us something to look forward to during COVID-19).Diana from the Old Oak Rental Office has been nothing short of incredible to work with. She was very patient with us as we had many questions throughout the application process. She made the entire process very enjoyable even with the added COVID-19 precautions when we had to sign papers.Recently, the presentation centre opened, which got us really excited because we could come see, touch and take photos of the finishings that will be in our apartment. Before then, we were only able to view the units from the floor plans and very nice youtube unit tours on the Old Oak website. When we arrived to the presentation centre, Diana greeted us with a mask on and offered us safety gloves which made us feel very at ease. We were able to learn a few new things about our unit that we didn't know about (ex. there's an ice maker in the fridge)! We find ourselves visiting the build site just about every day to see any new build accomplishments we can spot. We just can't get enough of this building! 2021 can't come fast enough!

Building had countless issues for months on end. In addition to this they have notified me months after I moved out that I owe them for a rent increase that was never communicated to me at any period of time. They simply attach a PDF document with whatever date printed on it that they choose. I checked my mail regularly and was not served any notice at any point. On top of their shady business practices here is what else went wrong in my short time there:- cracks in my ceiling that were never repaired for 12+ months- doors to the units don’t lock properly- fobs for units can access multiple units- dented fridge (and I was the first person to move in)- homeless people sleeping in the lobby and there is no security on site- VERY frequent break-ins in the parking garage if not weekly more often than that- washer an dryer take 6 hours to do a load of laundry- HVAC system is terrible- Amazon packages and other items stolen dailyIn summary don’t be fooled by the nice, new building the management at Old Oak simply do not care about residents only the bottom line. This is shown in their slow and vague email responses from their legal team specifically Renabelle King. I’m not sure how they would allow tenants to short pay rent for months and then send a notice with no proof it was ever sent on time.Strongly suggest avoiding at all costs. They will just do the bare minimum, we were fortunate enough to have somebody lobby against them for MONTHS to make the smallest most insignificant improvements. Maybe if you want your car broken in, packages stolen, and a cheaply built apartment this is the place for you.

Attempted to reach out to their agent Diana and was disappointed in the manner and style she took in responding to my inquiry. When she returned my call today and left me a voicemal she gave me all kinds of reasons for why she could not meet at all even though I gave her two days of availability. She completely ignored the second day.Her reasons included that she had other appointments, not much to show except models, and she even implied it would be better to go online and view 3D renderings of it on a computer. I can only assume that she feels she does not have to work very hard to sell the units and that all she has to do is agree to meet with a prospective client at a time that is convenient for her.Sad to see that the art of selling high end real estate has dropped to such a dissenchanting and inhospitable level where the client is made to feel like he is an inconvenience to the property agent. Not sure if it is a selling tactic or just a lack of class but I found the experience highly offensive and off putting.I would rate this experience zero stars if I were able to but one star is the lowest I can go. I would advice the developer to find better representation.

We moved in March 2021and decided it would be a perfect location. This new modern building had some issues with the parking garage and lockers but Old Oak rectified everything very quickly. Living downtown has its benefits and flaws with vandalism and theft. Old oak has also rectified the front door and intercom problems. We love our apartment, it’s modern and very comfortable. The balcony is large and we really enjoy the sunsets. We like the Dog relief station and noticed some tenants didn’t pick up after their dogs but our Building managers promptly took care of things.I wish the dog bath had a ramp for heavier dogs. The gym is very nice and yes Covid made things hard to keep things open. The sauna is now open and we need to try it out.If you have any problems in the apartment you fill out a work order form with Old Oak and they come fairly quickly to fix the issues. The apartments are quiet, you can’t hear your neighbours, I think the concrete keeps the sound out.We really like Jeff and Aileen they are good building managers.Yes the prices went up and yes it’s pricy but in line with other buildings downtown. Our friends from out of town have used the guest suite on several occasions and for only 80 dollars a night! Thanks Old Oak

Where to start. Worst building and management ever. The waterfalls look great, and that’s about it. No security, break ins, stolen packages, vehicle break ins. No amenities, closed 99% of the time or not provided at all. The only thing “high end” about this building is the ripoff rent prices.

It’s been 28 degrees in my apartment for days now. We pay a premium to live in this building and are not even given proper air conditioning. My dog hasn’t stopped panting in days. Fans running. Had to go out to purchase an external AC unit in my “luxury” apartment in order to keep the dog cooled down. Why can you not simply provide the bare minimum to your tenants who pay premium prices? The next weeks forecast is 30+ every day. At what point does it make sense for you guys? Honest question.

I'm afraid Old Oak is missing the point behind these negative reviews. Given what we are paying on the scale of London rents, as tenants we wanted the experience" of living here that was marketed to us

We’re having an amazing experience working with Laura. In her first email correspondence, she provided basically all the information we never even knew we needed which got us really excited. She was able to squeeze us in to view a few units on a very busy day at the construction site, and she went above and beyond to make sure we were able to access the units we wanted to see. The virtual application process was smooth and quick and Laura was available to answer all our questions. We are really looking forward to moving in!Thanks Laura

The building is extremely overpriced for having no amenities. We’ve had to make several noise complaints due to the large number of parties/loud music every week on the floor that management never follows up on. You’re better off renting elsewhere.
